It looks like 50 Cent and Joe Budden have finally put their ongoing feud to rest, following a series of social media exchanges over the past few months. The two New York natives had been trading jabs, particularly after 50 mocked Irv Gotti’s passing.

However, a surprising encounter at the New York Knicks’ playoff game against the Detroit Pistons seems to have sparked a reconciliation between the two. Fans at the game noticed that 50, who was sitting next to Fat Joe, appeared on the arena’s jumbotron, only to spot Joe Budden sitting just behind him.

Speculation ran wild among the crowd, but 50 quickly cleared the air on Instagram. Sharing the image of the two on the big screen, he wrote, “I ran into Joe at the game. He said I don’t need therapy no more!”

Adding to the moment, a fan snapped a photo of the two sharing a friendly embrace, though Budden has yet to publicly comment on the unexpected truce.

The rivalry between the two had been a hot topic throughout the early months of the year. In March, 50 Cent took a shot at Budden, mocking him over an old video in which Budden made controversial remarks about his dog. In the 2020 clip, Budden said, “Why do I always want to make the dog feel good by playing with their privates? Anybody with a pet knows what I’m talking about.”

50 responded with a scathing caption, writing, “Wait a minute, Joe, you need therapy. Something’s not right. You touch your pet sexually, masterbate so often you need travel lube, and sleepwalk naked outside your home. You should have to register as a sex offender,” tagging animal welfare group PETA in the post.

The tension between the two initially flared when Budden criticized 50 for mocking Irv Gotti’s death, suggesting that 50 needed therapy. In turn, 50 mocked Budden over a dismissed case involving alleged lewd behavior after Budden was reportedly caught walking naked in his apartment building.

It appears, however, that despite their heated exchanges, the two have managed to reconcile, at least for now.
