Travis Scott’s surprise appearance at WrestleMania 41 may not be a one-off.
On April 20, the rapper made waves during the Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena match by interfering just as Rhodes seemed poised to win. Scott yanked the referee out of the ring, prompting Rhodes to confront him—only to be dropped by Rhodes’ signature Cross Rhodes move. The chaos opened the door for Cena to clinch his historic 17th world title.
After the event, Travis shared behind-the-scenes shots on Instagram, captioning them: “I DON’T WANT A RECEIPT I WANT BLOOOODDD AFTER JACKBOYS 2 I NEEEEEDDD THAT,” hinting at a return post-release of his upcoming label compilation project.
This isn’t Scott’s first tangle with Rhodes. At February’s Elimination Chamber, he gave Rhodes a brutal slap, causing a black eye and ruptured eardrum. Rhodes later told Complex he’s ready to deliver a “receipt” of his own, saying: “That’s wrestling. Beat me up, I’m gonna beat you up… My eyes are open.”
Even The Rock chimed in on Scott’s involvement, calling it passionate and legit: “He slapped the shit out of Cody tonight… He deeply wants to get involved.”
It seems Travis Scott isn’t done with the WWE universe just yet.
