Azealia Banks is officially reversing her support for Donald Trump, three months into his latest term in office, labeling it an “absolute disaster.”
Banks, who had backed Trump since his 2016 campaign — once praising him as “the only one who truly has the balls to bust up big business” — continued to support him through the 2024 election, even attending a Trump rally in July.
However, her stance has shifted dramatically.
Taking to X this week, Banks wrote: “Ok I think it’s time everyone who voted for Trump admit that we made a fucking mess. Like this is an absolute disaster. He’s so petty and vindictive rn. Tbh, rightfully so, but not when the wellbeing and livelihood of billions of people — damn near the entire world — lay in your hands.”
She added: “Someone needs to get him a cute little lorazepam rx and a high-grade ashwagandha supplement because it can’t happen like this. Nobody on earth is afraid of crazy old white man anger. Old white men need to reinvent the archetype because it’s too predictable. Like China is just DUNKING on everyone right now.”
This isn’t the first time Banks has taken aim at Trump’s inner circle. Last fall, she called out Trump ally Elon Musk, accusing him of ties to Diddy’s alleged sexual abuse of minors.
After Musk posted on X, questioning, “How many people in music & entertainment knew about this?” following allegations that Diddy abused a nine-year-old boy, Banks fired back: “BITCH YOU KNEW ABOUT IT DIDDY IS ONE OF YOUR INVESTORS AND U WAS CHILLIN WITH GHISLAINE HO.”
The Harlem-born rapper was referring to reports that Diddy was a silent investor in Musk’s $44 billion Twitter acquisition in 2022.
Banks later shared an AI-generated image blending Musk’s face with Diddy’s, captioning it: “This is probably a good time to buy Tesla stock.”
As of now, neither Musk nor Diddy has responded to Banks’ claims.
