Cassie has filed a motion to prevent Diddy from obtaining her unpublished book and financial documents, as the legal tension between the two continues to escalate.

According to TMZ, Diddy’s legal team recently served the singer with a subpoena requesting all drafts of any memoirs, diaries, or communications related to a potential tell-all about their relationship. They’re also seeking access to her bank statements.

Diddy’s team claims Cassie once offered to sell him the rights to her book for $30 million in exchange for keeping it from being published — an offer he reportedly declined. Soon after, Cassie filed her bombshell lawsuit in November 2023, accusing the music mogul of sexual assault and trafficking. The case was settled a day later, though related legal disputes are ongoing.

Meanwhile, Diddy’s legal team is also challenging the credibility of the now-infamous hotel footage showing him assaulting Cassie in 2016. According to a forensic expert hired by his lawyers, the surveillance footage is allegedly distorted and unreliable due to technical factors like frame alterations and playback inconsistencies.

Despite issuing a public apology for his behavior in the video, Diddy is now seeking to have the footage excluded from trial, claiming it’s not an accurate reflection of events. Federal authorities, however, maintain possession of the original video.
