Side Two of “Scenes from a Well Worn Path” is the second part of an ambitious 24-track double album, focusing on themes such as pain, grief, joy, and fear, while still conveying the excitement associated with a satisfying life. This album, which came out on September 25, 2026, comes after Side One and develops the overall story through songs that are based on honesty, emotion, wit, and reflection. Instead of viewing those emotions as mere topics, the album treats them as experiences deserving of examination, thus producing a body of work that deals with the ways in which people live, connect, struggle, and change.
The album is especially important during this period, as it continues its exploration of the gap between promise and reality, the difficulty of achieving genuine connection, and the kind of courage needed to make changes. “Do Birds Sing the News” and “Idonella Sakaiensis” are prime examples of this, combining well-written music with lyrics that are thought-provoking and designed to make the listener stop and think about the way we live our lives; it is because of these songs that the album has an introspective character and prompts people to focus on the ideas behind the material rather than just being moved emotionally.
The recording process is also one of the features that give the album its special character. Jeremy was responsible for writing both the music and the lyrics and carried out the recording in his small studio in Banbury, Oxfordshire. The songs were at first mostly composed on an old Faith acoustic guitar, and AI tools were employed as a creative aid in developing the vocals and the drumming and in helping to realise the complete arrangement. However, this method is not seen as the main aspect of the record, but rather as a way of giving the written material a more complete form since a conventional band could not be put together.
Since it is the second section of the main project, “Scenes from a Well Worn Path – Side Two” is intended to be experienced as part of an ongoing sequence rather than as a standalone offering. The way it moves through feelings of grief, fear, joy and pain gives the album a wide emotional scope, and its most powerful moments encourage thought about personal experiences and the way individuals cope with life. The third and fourth sides being scheduled for October 25 and November 25 respectively, Side Two deliberately leaves the overall journey incomplete and thus adds another major chapter to an album project based on emotional honesty and careful songwriting.
