Tory Lanez could be held in contempt of court following his alleged misconduct during a recent prison deposition in Megan Thee Stallion’s defamation lawsuit against YouTuber Milagro Gramz.

According to a court filing dated April 16, Megan’s legal team visited Lanez — currently serving a 10-year sentence for shooting the rapper in 2020 — to record his deposition ahead of the upcoming civil trial. However, the filing states that Lanez was “disruptive, inflammatory, and inconsistent with the basic norms of civil litigation,” to the point that even his own attorneys disavowed his behavior.

Lanez allegedly feigned ignorance of basic terms like “discuss,” “approve,” and “meet,” while also directing “petty, misogynistic jabs” at one of Megan’s attorneys, mocking her appearance and hair color. Due to his behavior, the deposition was cut short.

As a result, Megan’s attorneys are asking the court to hold Lanez in contempt and impose “meaningful sanctions” — a request that Lanez’s legal team reportedly does not oppose.

Megan Thee Stallion originally filed suit against Milagro Gramz (real name Milagro Elizabeth Cooper) in October, accusing the YouTuber of cyberstalking, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and circulating digitally altered pornographic images of her. The lawsuit also claims that Gramz was paid by Lanez to spread misinformation and undermine Megan’s credibility in connection to the shooting case.

The suit cites a $3,000 payment from Lanez’s father to Gramz, which Megan used as part of her successful petition for a restraining order against the rapper for harassment earlier this year.

Gramz responded online with defiance, tweeting: “Countersuit gone go crazy.” She also dismissed being labeled as Lanez’s “paid surrogate,” writing: “I den went from being ignored to an alleged employee, deum y’all taking me too fast.”

Gramz later launched a fundraising campaign seeking $100,000 for her legal defense, claiming she’s being targeted by a system “weaponized” to silence her.

The civil trial is scheduled to begin on July 21.
